Serve at HPPC

Fourth through sixth graders are invited to participate in our acolyte ministry.  Acolytes contribute to worship at HPPC by lighting the candles on the chancel, assisting with offering, and helping clean up the sanctuary after services.  Training sessions, which happen at least once a year for students new to the ministry, explain the meaning behind the candle lighting and give students a chance to practice these roles.  Students who have completed a training session are able to volunteer as an acolyte for any Sunday worship service.  For more information, contact Kathy Williams at

Coffee Fellowship Host

Children’s Programs

Lay Assistant

Lay Assistants help lead worship by reading the first Scripture lesson and giving the prayer after the offering.  More detailed instructions and suggestions for prayers can be found in the Lay Assistant Guide. To sign up for a specific date to be a lay assistant, please contact Kyla Fague at

Outside Door Greeters

Outside Door Greeters welcome worshipers at the outside entrances to the church building. This is an important role in helping all to feel welcome to HPPC! For more information, please contact Kyla Fague at


Ushers/Greeters welcome worshipers at the entrance to the sanctuary.  This is a great way to meet new friends.

  • Greet worship attenders in a friendly and welcoming manner, and hand out bulletins
