There are many opportunities for Fellowship at HPPC, Including:

Three types of dinner groups, with new groups assigned annually to those who wish to participate:

  • Dinners for Seven – Couples and singles will be assigned to groups of 5-7 people. Over the course of the year at times determined by the group, you get together for food and fellowship. Normally, each household takes a turn organizing or hosting, meeting on an average of 4 times through the year.
  • Family Meal Fellowship Groups – for families with children who wish to meet with other families in the church who have children of similar ages. Groups are organized into three families each.
  • Taste and See Groups – Dinners for Seven who commit to reaching out to members of the restaurant and hospitality industry who are facing challenges (identified by the local non-profit group, Big Table). Existing Taste and See groups may continue if they wish, but new groups are also being formed.

Date Nights for (Younger) Married Couples, one Friday a month, with free childcare provided at the church

Top of the Hill Friends, a group for adults of retirement age — gathers monthly at the church for a luncheon and educational program. Past programs have included mission trip reports, speakers for local organizations such as Big Table and Honor Flight, and special music presentations.

Advent Soup Supper and Christmas Pageant from Scratch — on the first Sunday of December, the whole HPPC community gathers for a soup potluck and an impromptu Christmas Pageant for kids and adults of all ages.

National Night Out for the Hamblen Neighborhood — on the first Tuesday of August, HPPC invites the neighborhood to a Block Party in the church parking lot with hot dogs, ice cream, live music, bounce houses, and an opportunity to visit with local law enforcement.
